Rosary Natania was born in Jakarta but has spent half her life abroad, which has made her a keen traveller. Her love of travelling was instilled from an early age when her parents took her to Atlanta, Georgia when she was just 1 year old. She and her family lived in the US for almost 2 years, visiting other states such as Florida, New York and Washington DC, although she claims to not remember any of it!
The next big move was when the whole family once again flew across the world, this time to “sunny” England. She spent 8 years and the best of her teenage life in Manchester, graduating from primary school, high school, and sixth-form college there. She grew up reading Harry Potter, travelling around the UK every summer holiday and watching her brothers become avid supporters of the Red Devils.
Following her return to Indonesia, she applied to various universities and was accepted by City University of Hong Kong with full international student scholarship. So off she went to her next adventure. After 3 years in Hong Kong, she graduated with a bachelor’s degree in computer engineering but quickly found that it was not her true passion. Instead, she remembered her gap year of tutoring English and how much joy it brought her. So that’s what she decided to pursue.
She completed her Cambridge CELTA at the end of 2016 and started working at IALF Bali the following year. Now, she enjoys teaching a variety of students from all around the world who never fail to make her smile. She also takes advantage of her free time travelling around the Island of the Gods hunting waterfalls, chasing sunsets, and exploring majestic temples.
