Staff Profile – Agnes Shanti Nindyarini

Agnes Shanti Nindyarini is originally from Java, but has lived in Bali since 2001. During her time at IALF Bali Agnes has been involved in many different program areas, including Young Learners, General, Business and Hotel English.

IALF offers staff terrific opportunities for advancement and Agnes has certainly taken on some very challenging roles over her time in Bali. In 2004 Agnes worked with the IALF Publications Team developing a set of course books for teaching English in Indonesian junior high schools. The materials were published by Airlangga Press Jakarta and the series was called ‘Flying Start’.

Agnes assisted in the development and production of materials for several IALF Projects including ELTIS (English Language Training for Islamic Schools), ELTA (English Language Training Assistance), KELP (Kiribati English Language Program) and ETELP (Timor-Leste English Language Program). As a part of her work with KELP, Agnes spent 3 months on the South Pacific island of Kirabati assisting local teachers to develop and deliver English language materials in their classrooms.

Agnes is now the Director of Studies for English & Indonesian Language Services at IALF Bali. The role manages General English, English for Young Learners (SD & SMP), Specialized English (corporate training) and Indonesian Language program.
