Why IELTS?
IELTS is accepted as evidence of English language proficiency by over 9,000 organisations in more than 135 countries, for education, immigration and professional purposes. IALF is Indonesia's longest-running IELTS Test Centre and has delivered the IELTS test for over 30 years assisting tens of thousands of Indonesian students to prepare for overseas study. Which IELTS test module should I take?
- Academic Module: If you are planning to apply for a scholarship or study overseas at a college or university at the undergraduate or postgraduate level. This module measures English language proficiency for academic purposes.
- General Training: If you are planning to use the IELTS certificate for work or planning to migrate to English speaking countries, including Australia (DIAC), Canada (CIC) or New Zealand (INZ) and the UK (UKBA). This module measures English language proficiency in a practical, everyday context.
How is the IELTS on Computer conducted?
IELTS on Computer
- Listening, Reading and Writing tests using a computer
- Test held every Tuesday to Sunday at IALF Jakarta or Gading Serpong
- Every Wednesday, Thursday & Saturday at IALF Bali
- Results typically within 2 days after test date
- The Speaking test is delivered Face-to-Face with an examiner
Test Day Information
- IELTS on Computer registration begins 1 hour to 45 minutes before your first test begins (your test schedule will be informed via email.
- If you arrive late you will not be able to sit the test and your test fee will not be refunded.
- Registration includes a digital photo and fingerprint matching with your ID.
- You must bring your form of identification (KTP or passport). This ID must be original – photocopies are not accepted – and it must be the same ID used on the Application Form. If you fail to bring this ID on the day of the test you will not be permitted to sit the test and your test fee will not be refunded. You will also not be permitted to transfer to another test date.
- The Speaking test is usually held on the same day.
- You are required to bring your ID into the test room, stationary (pencils) will be provided by IALF. You will not be permitted to bring your own stationary into the test room.
- Water in a clear plastic bottle is permitted.
- Highlighter pens and correction fluid are not permitted.
- Passport covers are not permitted.
- Please ensure that all other belongings, including wallets and purses, are left in the area designated by the Test Day Supervisor.
- Mobile phones, smart watches and any other digital storage devices must be switched off and left at Reception.
- Your belongings can only be collected after you have completed the speaking test.
- The Test Day Supervisor is entitled to check the contents of any jacket taken into the room.
- There are no breaks between the Listening / Reading / Writing tests.
- Any attempt to cheat, copy another candidate’s work, make copies of any part of the exam materials, or remove exam materials from the exam room will lead to disqualification without refund.
- If you have any questions, you can raise your hand to get the attention of an invigilator.

CANCELLATION, REFUND & TRANSFER POLICY
- Test takers registration is accepted when the online Application Form and payment is completed.
- Test takers who choose to cancel or reschedule their registration before a certain period of time prior to the test date will be eligible for a test date transfer or a refund. An administration fee will be applied. Cancellation or reschedule requests must be made at least 7 days before the test date
- The administration fee for an approval refund request is Rp 600,000. There is no administration fee for an approved transfer or reschedule request.
- Eligible test takers are only able to reschedule their test to a date within 3 (three) months from their original test date based on availability.
- Test takers can only request to transfer date (reschedule) once (1x), reschedule dates will depend on availability. the IELTS team at IALF will inform you the available dates. Official requests can only be accepted via email and must complete the provided transfer date form. Candidates test transfer request will not be considered if candidate is unable to resend the transfer form.
- Test takers who wish to cancel their registration within the mentioned period of time are not eligible for a refund.
- Test takers who wish to transfer test dates within the mentioned period of time will be treated as a cancellation and will not be eligible for a refund. In this case, test takers will have to re-register and make payment for a new test date.
- Exemptions: Candidates who wish to cancel or transfer test dates within the mentioned period of time will only receive a full refund (no cancellation fee) in the cases of:
- Cancellation from IALF
- Public Activity Restrictions announced the government (e.g. PSBB, PPKM Level 4)
- A traumatic experience
- Unavoidable legal or military obligation
- Serious medical conditions which prevent you from attending or performing normally on test day (hospital admission, serious injury, tested positive or undergoing Covid-19 treatment)
- Bereavement or other forms of significant hardship/trauma
- Civil unrest, extreme weather
Candidates must complete a Request for Refund Form and attach appropriate documentation and evidence. To cancel or request a transfer date, please email ieltsindonesia@ialf.edu. Please state full name, test date and location.
IELTS One Skill Retake (OSR)
The IELTS One Skill Retake (OSR) is now available for test takers who have previously taken their IELTS on Computer test at IALF Jakarta, IALF Gading Serpong or IALF Bali. The OSR Fee is Rp2,200,000.
You're eligible to book IELTS One Skill Retake after you have recently completed a full test on computer and received your IELTS test score, from IALF Jakarta, Gading Serpong or Bali.
