Our online courses are taught by highly qualified teachers, experienced in IELTS Preparation and will use Zoom for live teaching sessions (60%) and the our very own LMS (Learning Management System) for learning resources, activities and assignments (40%). You will have access to the online learning resources and activities for up to 3-months after the course finishes, so there are plenty of opportunities to review and revise before actually taking the IELTS test.

• IPMOL Level 1: Minimum Elementary 4 to Pre-Intermediate 2
• IPMOL Level 2: Pre Intermediate 3 on the IALF scale or IELTS 5.0 / PTE 36 / TOEFL 500 (taken in the past 2 years)

Placement Testing

You will need to take the IALF Placement Test (PT)

• To enrol in Level 1 you need to be at a the minimum level of Elementary 4
• For level 2 you need to be at the minimum level of Pre-Intermediate 3
• You can take the placement test on your phone, laptop or PC using Google Chrome or Firefox.

You will need to complete 50 multiple choice questions within 45 minutes, and will immediately see your placement test results. The placement test is free and can only be repeated after 2 months.

Our team will contact regarding payment for the course at  the latest one-working day after you have registered.

• If your level is at Elementary 3 and planning to take the IELTS General Training Module, you can enrol in our IELTS for WHV course (online and on-site options available).
• If you are below Elementary 3 you can join our General English-Z course to improve your English level.

Technology

What you will need for the course:

• A laptop or PC with a webcam, microphone and good speakers (a headset with microphone attached is recommended).  It will be possible to join with a handphone, but this is not ideal as you need to see other participants and to read documents/PowerPoints etc.
• The Zoom app downloaded to your computer - you can download from here.
• A good internet connection
• A printer (if possible)
• A quiet space

The five weeks are:

Each week you will:

• Learn about the key features of that skill area
• Focus on key skills
• Analyse and practice many different question types
• Explore strategies and tips to improve performance
• Have access to a wide range of learning resources online

You will practice each section of the test and develop test-taking strategies. The course is designed so that the materials are challenging and engaging.

The IELTS Insights Speaking test is a full 1-on-1 IELTS Speaking simulation practice session with an IALF teacher. You will carry out a simulated IELTS Speaking test and receive detailed verbal feedback on how you performed. Feedback will also recommend how you can achieve your Speaking target score.

The IELTS Writing Plus is an online 2-week (20-hour) IELTS Preparation Academic writing course aimed at improving your IELTS Writing skills.

The course will focus on Task 1 for one week and Task 2 for the other week. The course provides detailed training to further improve your writing scores. You will be given extra input on all of the key features of IELTS Writing and will also get feedback on your writing tasks throughout the course. Please note that only the Academic Module is offered. New classes starts every Tuesday, 18.00 - 19.30 WIB.

The IELTS Speaking Plus is a 1-week (10 hours) aimed at improving your IELTS Speaking skills. The course will focus on all of the key features of IELTS Speaking, especially those that Indonesian candidates find the most challenging.

Students will be given tips on how to respond to questions from Parts 1, 2 & 3 of the test, and there will be plenty of opportunities to practice your speaking skills. At the end of the course, students will receive a 15-minute mock speaking test with feedback. New class starts every Tuesday, 18.00 - 19.30 WIB.

How it will work

This is a 'Blended Learning 60:40' course, combining Live Teaching via Zoom with online coursework.

With the online classes:

• You will be in a virtual classroom using videoconferencing software called Zoom
• Weekday classes will take place each day from Tuesday to Friday from 16.00 - 17.30 or 18.00 to 19.30 WIB
• Saturday classes will take place from 08.00 - 10.00, 11.00 - 13.00, 14.00 - 15.00 WIB
• The teacher and all the students will be able to see and hear each other
• The teacher and students will be able to share documents and presentations with others during the class
• In the class, the teacher will also be able to set up pairs or small groups of students for discussions and tasks.

The out-of-class component

You will be given access to the online IALF Canvas account. Canvas is a popular Learning Management System used throughout the world for online learning: it is Canvas is easy to use for:

• regular communications (with teachers and with other students)
• accessing all relevant materials for the online classroom, including any pre-reading etc.
• accessing a range of tasks and activities to follow-up on each class
• doing a range of additional tasks and activities including practice tests

Your course will be taught to the highest standards by a mix of native speaker and local teachers.  All IALF teachers are highly qualified and experienced.

By the end of the course, you will be able to assess your performance and identify areas needing further study so that you can achieve your target IELTS score. You will get instructor feedback on homework assignments and results on test practice.

The IELTS for WHV is an online 2-week (20-hour) a full IELTS Preparation course aimed at preparing you to take IELTS General Training Module for Working Holiday Visa requirements.

The course is a Blended-learning intensive course, 20 hours over 2 weeks. 16 hours face-to-face class, 4 hours online course work. It is taught by highly qualified teachers, with experience in teaching IELTS for study and working abroad purposes. In this course each you will:

• Learn about the key features of IELTS General Training module
• Analyse and practice many different question types
• Explore strategies and tips to improve performance
• Practice tests and develop test-taking strategies
• Have access to a wide range of learning resources online
