IELTS Preparation Modular course is an in-depth course aimed to develop essential skills for IELTS and best practices in test-taking strategies. The course duration is 50 hours over 5 weeks, blending 60% Face-to-Face teaching (30 hours) and 40% online coursework (20 hours).

Placement Testing

To enroll in the course, you will need to take the IALF Placement test and be at minimum level Pre-Intermediate 3.

The test takes approximately 45 minutes to complete. You will immediately see your placement test results and register for the course. Our team will contact you for payment details, the latest one working day after you have completed the registration form.

If you are at Pre-Intermediate 3 you will be able to join the IELTS Prep course. If your level is Pre-Intermediate 1 or 2, you can join the IELTS Foundation or General English-Z course to increase your English level first.

The IELTS Speaking Plus is a 1-week (10 hours) aimed at improving your IELTS Speaking skills. The course will focus on all of the key features of IELTS Speaking, especially those that Indonesian candidates find the most challenging.

Students will be given tips on how to respond to questions from Parts 1, 2 & 3 of the test, and there will be plenty of opportunities to practice your speaking skills. At the end of the course, students will receive a 15-minute mock speaking test with feedback.

This is a 'Blended Learning 60:40' course, combining face-to-face teaching & online coursework.

With the Face-to-Face classes:

Placement Testing

To identify if you are eligible for the course, you will need to take the IALF Placement and be at minimum level Pre-Intermediate 3 to enroll in the course. The test takes approximately 45 minutes to complete. You will immediately see your placement test results and register for the course. Our team will be in touch with you within one working day for payment details.

If you are at Pre-Intermediate 3 you will be able to join the IELTS Prep Modular course. If your level is Pre-Intermediate 1 or 2, you can join the IELTS Foundation or General English-Z course to increase your English level first.

What you will need:

• A laptop or PC with webcam, microphone and good speakers (a headset with microphone attached is recommended).  It will be possible to join with a handphone, but this is not ideal as you need to see other participants and to read documents/power points etc.
• The Zoom app downloaded onto your computer - you can download from here.

The IELTS Writing Plus is a 2-week (20-hour) IELTS Preparation academic writing course aimed to improve your IELTS Writing skills. The course will focus on Task 1 for one week and Task 2 for the other week.

The course provides detailed training to further improve your writing scores. You will be given extra input on all of the key features of IELTS writing, and will also get a lot of feedback on your writing tasks throughout the course. Both Academic and General Training modules are available.

The IELTS Insights test is a full 2.5-hour computer-delivered IELTS simulation. It covers Listening, Reading, Writing and Speaking. Listening, Reading and Writing are conducted on a computer under authentic IELTS Computer-delivered exam conditions. The Speaking test is conducted by an IALF teacher, face-to-face or via Zoom. The IELTS Insights test can be done online from anywhere, or walk-in at IALF Gading Serpong. Both the Academic Module and General Training modules are available.

You will receive a personalised feedback report which will:

1. highlight your strengths and weaknesses
2. let you know if you are on track for your target score
3. give you insights into how you can improve your skills for the real Computer-delivered IELTS test.
4. Feedback will be given by our teachers based on your target score.

Listening & Reading

• You will follow a full IELTS Listening & Reading test (approx. 1.5 hours)
• Receive feedback on your performance

Writing Test

• You will follow a 60 minute IELTS Writing task 1 & 2
• Receive written feedback on your performance on how you addressed the questions, how you organised your writing, and on your grammar and vocabulary

Speaking Test

• You will follow a 15 minute IELTS Speaking test conducted via Zoom or face-to-face (depending on which IELTS Insights test you choose to take)
• Receive verbal & written feedback on your performance in pronunciation, fluency, grammar, and vocabulary

The online IELTS Insights Test can be done anytime, please book 48-hours before your selected test date.

The Walk-In IELTS Insights test is only available at IALF Gading Serpong and is delivered from Tuesday to Friday, at the following times.

• 10.00 - 12.30 WIB: Listening, Reading, Writing
• 13.30 - 16.00 WIB: Listening, Reading, Writing
• Speaking Test: To be confirmed

1. IELTS Insights requests are subject to teacher availability
2. IELTS Insights is available for online or Walk-In at IALF Gading Serpong
3. Requests must be made at least 48 hours in advance. Book now
4. Participants will not be given an IELTS band score but will receive an analysis of their performance whether they are on track to achieve their target IELTS band score
5. The electronic feedback report (PDF) will be emailed within 1 week after your IELTS Insights test
