What is the IELTS Computer Based Test?

If you choose to take the IELTS Computer-based test, you will take the Listening, Reading and Writing tests using a computer. The Speaking test is face-to-face with an examiner, as we believe it is the most effective way of assessing your speaking skills and prompts a more lifelike performance. Other aspects of the test, whether paper or computer are the all same.

IELTS Insights Test by IALF

Are you planning to take the IELTS Computer-delivered test but not quite sure how well you'll perform? Looking for an option to experience the IELTS test under authentic exam conditions online? Need professional insights & personalised feedback straight from the experts? Introducing the IELTS Insights Test by IALF.

The IELTS Insights test is a full 2.5-hour computer test which covers the Listening, Reading, Writing, will be done under authentic IELTS Computer-delivered exam conditions. Speaking test will be conducted by an IALF teacher, face-to-face or via Zoom. The IELTS Insights test can be done online or walk-in at IALF Gading Serpong and offers both Academic Module and General Training for IELTS.

You will receive personalised feedback which points out your strengths & weaknesses, whether you are on track for your target score and give insights on how you can improve your skills for the real Computer-delivered IELTS test. Feedback will be given by our teachers based on your target score.

Listening & Reading

  • You will follow a full IELTS Listening & Reading test (approx. 1.5 hours)
  • Receive feedback on your performance

Writing Test

  • You will follow a 60 minute IELTS Writing task 1 & 2
  • Receive written feedback on your performance on how you addressed the questions, how you organised your writing, and on your grammar and vocabulary

Speaking Test

  1. IELTS Insights requests are subject to teacher availability
  2. IELTS Insights is available for online testing (taken from home) or Walk-In (at IALF Gading Serpong)
  3. IELTS Insights is available Tuesday to Saturday, 10.00 - 12.30 or 13.30 - 16.00
  4. Requests must be made at least 24 hours in advance
  5. Participants will not be given an IELTS band score but will receive an analysis of their performance and an indication of whether they are on track to achieve their target IELTS band score
  6. The feedback report will be emailed within 1 week after your IELTS Insights test
  7. Payment methods: Non-Installment Credit Card, Bank Transfer (online or ATM) & cash
