The IALF Certificate in Resource Management (CRM) is for lecturers, teachers, library/resource centre staff or administrators who either work in an existing Self-Access Centre and would like to upgrade their skills and knowledge in order to run their Centre more efficiently, or who are planning to establish such a centre.
The CRM is a 125-hour course, divided into a series of five individual training modules, each of five days (Monday – Friday) or 25 hours’ duration.
You will follow a 5-day module which combines classroom input in the mornings, and working on individual and group tasks in the afternoons. You will gain practical experience, supported and guided by our teacher training tutors and Resource Centre staff.
If you successfully complete all 5 modules, you will receive the award of the IALF Certificate in Resource Management. This will be accompanied by a comprehensive report on your participation, motivation and performance in module tasks.
Alternatively, it is possible to join just one of the modules over the course of five days, and receive a Certificate of Attendance for the module taken.
The CRM can be offered on-site, or participants can travel to our Bali centre. Courses in Bali are based around our main Resource Centre, and are led by our experienced staff. Participants can also see out new Young Learners Resource Centre, with areas specially designed for students of elementary school age.
