The General English for Adults program offers classes from Pre-Elementary to Advanced Levels. These courses are designed to build your fluency and confidence for work, travel or academic study. All four skills of speaking, listening, reading and writing are covered, with a focus on real-life English communication skills. You must be at SMA level or above (minimum 16 years old) to join the General English program, and need to sit a placement test to confirm your current level of English language ability. For younger students, we have a Young Learners program for SD and SMP students.
There are 5 terms each year, and courses are 40 hours in length. Courses are held in the late afternoon and evening, and are held on two schedules:
As well as in-class activities, you have access to the Resource Centre and Computer Lab while you study with us, and when you need a break, have a snack at the Garden Café.
You can choose courses taught by:
All our teachers have either a degree in English language teaching, or a first degree and a recognised international teaching qualification such as the Trinity College London Certificate / Diploma in Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages. IALF Bali courses are accredited by BAN (Badan Akreditasi Nasional) and endorsed for quality by NEAS International, Australia.
The Academic English Pathway program has four levels. It is a starting point to develop academic English skills in Reading, Writing, Speaking and Listening. Learn more about the course here.
