Rahma Diana Sari, better known as Ana, is originally from Malang. She graduated from Malang State University in 2000. She lives in Bali and has worked as a teacher at IALF Bali since 2001 completing her Trinity Certificate in TESOL teaching qualification in 2004. Ana is currently ELT Outreach Specialist – Training &Resources - with Kang Guru Indonesia (KGI) and is responsible for materials development and workshops for English teachers.
Ana has been connected with Kang Guru since she was at the university. The first time she worked with Kang Guru was in 2004 presenting a KGI Teacher Workshop in Lombok. Since then Ana has presented many teacher workshops for Kang Guru and for IALF Bali. Her voice can be heard on Kang Guru Radio every week all over Indonesia. Ana is currently featured on the new KGI English language videos.
Before Ana joined KGI, she worked on other activities and projects with the IALF, and with the Australian Government. She has designed ELT materials and course books for use in Indonesian secondary schools. From 2007 to 2010 Ana was the Curriculum and Materials Specialist for ELTIS (English Language Training for Islamic Schools) and in 2011 she began writing national tests for KELP ( Kiribati English Language Program). In 2011/12, under the Australia Awards Scholarships program, Ana became the coordinator of the ELTA (English Language Training Assistance) program in NTT.
Her motto is: ‘Although you are the best or the most experienced teacher in the world, a good teacher should never stop learning and should always listen to their students’.
