Amelia Marihesya, or Echa for short, is IALF Surabaya Study Centre Coordinator and has been working at IALF for the past 7 years. She has a Bachelor’s Degree in Library and Information Science. Echa has a special passion in helping people develop their literacy skills. She began her career at IALF working as a Study Centre Assistant and after just a few years became Centre Coordinat organizing events including Afternoon Talks, Computer Workshops and Discussion Clubs. IALF invites interesting speakers to share their experience and ideas with students. For the Afternoon Talk sessions guest speakers have introduced Australian Awards and Chevening Scholarships to students encouraging them to consider these opportunities. Other topics have included information on academic skills such as writing academic journals, awareness of plagiarism and how to be a good public speaker. The IALF Resource Centre is one of the best in Surabaya with a highly regarded media centre where students can access a wide range of digital resources. These are available at any time for registered students of IALF.
