
Plenary/ Parallel
Papers
These are lecture-type conference presentations
to a formal audience. Plenary papers will be 45 minutes plus 15 minutes
question time and Parallel papers will be 30 minutes plus 15 minutes question
time in duration. The Conference Secretariat reserves the right to
assign papers to either the Plenary or Parallel sessions.
Workshops
These
are 45 minute long practical sessions devoted to a demonstration or discussion
of some aspect of classroom practice. The workshop leader structures
a range of practical activities on Indonesian language teaching for the
participants.
Poster Sessions
These sessions take the form of a poster
display and allow for informal discussions with the
audience. The display should be
self-explanatory and will be presented on a 1 x 2 metre bulletin board.
It should include a title, the name and affiliation of the presenter's
(s), brief text and clearly labeled visual material.

Proposals >

Proposals should be sent to the Conference
Secretariat no later than 1 June 2001. The proposal should include: a 150
-200 word abstract with a title not exceeding 12 words, a 50 word biodata,
and an indication of the type of presentation (ie paper, workshop or poster
session). Abstracts outside the word limit will not be accepted. Proposals
may be written in Indonesian or English.

All abstracts will be evaluated for possible
acceptance by the Kibipa IV Selection Committee. Presenters will
be informed whether their proposals have been accepted by 30 June 2001.

Relevance to the theme / topics of the Conference,
and freshness and originality of approach are among the key criteria for
acceptance.

A diskette or email attachment and a hard
copy of the completed paper should then be sent to the Conference Secretariat
no later than 31 August 2001. The paper should not be more than 2,500 words
long. It should be in MS Word format, single-spaced, font size 12,
font type Times New Roman.

Opportunities >
The exhibition will be held in the main concourse
of the conference. A Display Table, board, and power point will be
available. Please contact the Conference Secretariat if you wish
to book a space.
