Abstract

Issues to be discussed include; materials development, access to resources, language learning outcomes, and incorporating multimedia resources into existing programs.

Aimed at developing an understanding of cultural diversity, this resource provides information about each country, supports resource based learning and encourages identification of similarities between children.

Biodata

Michael Edwards has been teaching primary Indonesian (Reception to Year 7) since 1975. He is involved in language organisations, promoting and implementing language programs and is currently writing the primary Indonesian course for distance education.

Andrea Corston has taught secondary Indonesian for five years and has been writing course materials for four years. She is a past secretary and current member of the Indonesian Teachers’ Association, S.A. Her special interests are distance education and multimedia language materials development.

Serena Ruiz taught Indonesian secondary schools i n South Australia for many years. She is currently working as a Course Writer of Year 9 Indonesian at Open Access College, producing materials for students learning through distance education.
